The principal of the Rambukpitiya Maha Vidyalaya in Nawalapitiya who forced seven students to consume the polythene used to wrap their school lunches has been transferred pending an inquiry.
Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha told Parliament that he has been transferred to the Gampola Zonal Education Office.
He further said that that an investigation has been launched by the Pasbage Zonal Education Director on the incident.
