The Ministry of Health and Mass Media requests that the public affected by the recent flood disaster contact the Regional Medical Officer of Health office or the Public Health Inspector in their area to obtain free prophylactic treatment (Doxycycline) against Leptospirosis (Rat Fever).
The Ministry said that it is very important to receive this preventive treatment against leptospirosis in view of the recent flooding.
Therefore, Public Health Inspectors and other health officials are currently distributing Doxycycline prophylaxis to the public based on the identified needs.
