The Disaster Management Center (DMC) of Kegalle said that residents of two houses in the Yatiyanthota Gomaduwa area were evacuated due to safety hazards caused by the heavy rains.
Officials of DMC said that a part of the house subject to the landslide had damaged the house along with the one adjoining beneath.
The owners of the houses are Samurdhi Beneficiaries, and therefore are left valuable.
Assistant Director of DMC Kegalle said that they have been evacuated to a safe zone, and dry rations have been provided by the District Secretariat.
