The fuel quota that was increased in view of the festive season will remain unchanged for another week, State Minister of Power and Energy D.V. Chanaka stated.
The revised fuel quota with increased amounts was first announced on April 4. Accordingly, the fuel quota for three-wheelers was increased from 5 litres to 8 litres, from 4 litres to 7 litres for motorbikes and from 20 to 60 litres for buses.
The fuel quota for cars was increased from 20 litres to 30 litres while the quota for land vehicles was increased from 15 to 25 litres.
