At the behest of President Ranil Wickremesinghe, President's Secretary Saman Ekanayaka has directed the Ministry of Transport & Sri Lanka Transport Board to provide financial assistance of Rs. 500,000 to each of the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic accident that occurred when a tree fell on a bus near Kollupitiya Liberty Roundabout this morning (06), the President's Media Division (PMD) said.
Five persons have been confirmed dead in the incident which occurred this morning.
