The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has run into further crisis in filling its National List MP positions after the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) today obtained restraining order related to the appointments.
The Colombo District Court issued a restraining order preventing the SJB from submitting their National List to the Election Commission without including the name of Nizam Kariapper of the SLMC.
SLMC Leader told journalists they have informed courts that the SJB had reached agreement with their party that a National List vacancy will be provided to the SLMC irrespective of seats gained through the National List.
Accordingly the SJB nominations based on the National List allocations are set to be further delayed.
