STF recovers 20 kg of heroin in Kosgoda
The Special Task Force (STF) has recovered 20 kilogramms of heroin in Kosgoda area in a special raid, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said special raids are being carried out in southern parts of the country where large hauls of narcotics were recovered during the past few weeks.
“Similar raids are taking place in Peliyagoda and Mount Lavinia areas. Two persons were arrested in Peliyagoda and Mt.Lavinia on Tuesday (12) over possession of heroin,” the Police Spokesman said.
He said the heroin stock will be handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau for further investigations.
