Ven. Rajangane Saddharatane Thero who was arrested in Anuradhapura over his controversial statements has been further remanded till June 21.
The Thero who was arrested on May 28 by the Criminal Investigations Department(CID) following a complaint by Ven. Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thero that certain statements made by Saddharatane Thero could disrupt religious harmony.
The Thero was produced before Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage today.
Meanwhile, stand-up comedian Natasha Edirisooriya and owner of SL-Vlogs Bruno Divakara who were also arrested were ordered to be remanded until June 21.
CID arrested Natasha on May 28 following a complaint by the Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs over comments made by her at a show.
Divakara was arrested over publicising Natasha's comments on his youtube channel.
