The Public Security Ministry has ordered to review requests for security made by former Members of Parliament and VIPs before taking a decision on providing security to them again, a senior official said.
He said that the requests have been made after their security was withdrawn keeping with a government decision.
Accordingly, police and STF guards provided to former ministers, MPs and VIPs have been withdrawn.
He said a threat assessment will be carried out before taking a decision on their applications.
