A total of 45,000 metric tons of fuel, the first batch of the Sinopec project, have been brought to Sri Lanka, the Chinese Embassy in Colombo said.
The Embassy said the fuel stocks will enhance energy security and ease the forex challenge here.
Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said the second Sinopec fuel cargo is expected to arrive in the country today (02).
