Sirisena says discussing with friends on how to pay Rs 100 m compensation

Former President Maithripala Sirisena today said that he has discussed with his friends on how the payment of Rs 100 million as compensation to the Easter Sunday bomb attack victims could be paid keeping with the judgement by the Supreme Courts.

The former President was speaking at a function in Gampaha .

He said that he cold not afford to pay the money personally and would have to sit in Pettah to collect the money.

It's a joke what the former president said. His brother Dudley has a deep pocket and Rs 100 mn is peanuts for him. But how do you compensate for the lives lost ......The former president should issue a public apology to the nation for his negligence in not preventing this terrorism.
