Health authorities today commenced the process of vaccinating Chinese nationals working and living in Sri Lanka with the Chinese manufactured Sinopharm vaccine.
The Sinopharm vaccination drive for Chinese nationals commenced at Port City in Colombo today.
China recently donated 600, 000 doses of the vaccine to Sri Lanka at the request of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
However, no final decision has been taken on administering the Sinopharm vaccine to Sri Lankan national as it is yet to receive approval from the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA).
