Sri Lanka's Central Bank said on Tuesday that the next Monetary Policy Review: No. 02 of 2024 will be announced on Tuesday, March 26 at 7.30 a.m where it would decide on either increasing, decreasing or maintaining interest rates at current levels. This would be after a meeting of the Monetary Policy Board on Monday, March 25.
Earlier the banking regulator said the review won’t be issued monthly, as the case has been in the past, but once in two months.
The Monetary Policy Board held a meeting on February 7 where no policy interest rate decision.
