A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of an individual at Lokanwatta, Ahungalla on May 8.
Police Media Unit said the suspect was arrested from Weherathenna, Bogaswewa on Sunday evening by a team of Special Task Force (STF) personnel from the STF camp in Vavuniya.
The victim was shot dead by gunmen on a motorbike.
The 23-year-old suspect is a resident of Weherathenna, Bogaswewa. Police say the suspect had acted as the motorbike rider. Ahungalla Police are conducting further investigations.
