Twenty four people were injured when a private bus traveling from Thalawakele in the Pundaluoya area went off the road in the Madakumbura area today evening, Police said.
The bus fell into a 50-feet ditch.
Twenty one persons of the injured have been admitted to the Kothmale District Hospital while others were transferred to the Gampola hospital.
Among the injured were persons returning home after working in the estates in the area.
The bus was badly damaged in the accident.
Police is carrying out investigations.
