Two suspects have been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with a Rs. 8.3 million fraud committed at a private company.
The company had filed a complaint with the CID in 2016 regarding the fraud. The suspects were arrested yesterday after a lengthy investigation by the CID.
The suspects are two brothers aged 54 and 55 years of age and are residents of Colombo 05. They had functioned as two of the directors of the company where the fraud had taken place. The CID is conducting further investigations.
