A 40-year-old male from Wilaoya in Moneragala and a 48-year-old male from Piliyandala died from COVID-19 pneumonia and organ failure on Tuesday (16), the Government Information Department said.
Yesterday recorded six deaths from Panadura, Wilaoya, Piliyandala, Kochchikade, Ambalangoda and Nainamadama increasing the total deaths from the virus to 409.
Another 756 persons were tested COVID positive on Tuesday.
