Two individuals who have been attempting to sell a 4.5 feet long tusk of an elephant via the internet have been arrested by the Department of Wildlife Conservation (DWC).
The two suspects have been arrested following a special raid carried out at Matugama area nab the two individuals who have attempted to sell the tusk for Rs 800,000 via internet.
The two individuals have been handed over Matugama Magistrate courts. Further investigations are underway by the DWC.
