Two youths who went to bathe in the Velioya between the two Kalupahana bridges in Haldummulla have been swept away by the floods and have gone missing, Haldummulla Police said.
The two missing youths are members of the Maharagama Pamunugama Tourist Group, police said.
Police say that the two youths had been swept away in a flash flood due to heavy rains upstream.
