A body of a female Colombo University student was found dead with cut injuries at Race Course in Colombo-07 this afternoon, Police said.
The body was found near the score board of the Race Course grounds .
It is reported that she was a 3rd year student of the Science faculty at the University of Colombo and a resident of Homagama.
The suspect, a 24 year old student of the Arts Faculty of the same university was arrested in Wellampitiya few hours later.
Ajith Gallage, the owner of a Bird Park in Nagarawawa, Hambantota, has been remanded over allegations of concealing illegally imported motorcycles, in a warehouse owned by him.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
