Research institute ‘Verite Research’ yesterday launched a publication “Blueprint for a Rational Government in Sri Lanka” where the document provides how the island can potentially operate with 15 Ministries instead of the current 30 Ministries.
The proposed Ministries were Foreign Affairs, Education and Research, Public Utilities, Defense, Economic Affairs, Justice, Finance and Planning, Family and Community Development, Health, Home and Public Administration, Labour, Society and Culture, Environment, Ports, Shipping and Civil Aviation and Agriculture.
The documents show how the duties, functions institutions and laws in Sri Lanka can be operated under the said Ministries, and will be presented to all major political parties.
