A woman of German origin holding Sri Lankan citizenship is among an independent group due to hand over nominations to contest from the Galewela Pradeshiya Sabhawa for the upcoming local elections.
The group placed their deposit to contest the elections.
The woman who is known to be operating a farm in the area and carrying out social service work has been living in the area for several years.
