Youth killed in accident in Kollupitiya

News

A 22 year old person was killed last night in an accident in Kollupitiya after a car travelling at high speed collided with a jeep, Police said.

The car heading towards Kollupititya on the Galle road from Bambalapitiya crashed into the rear of a jeep proceeding in the same direction,

A person in the rear seat who was seriously injured was admitted to the National Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim was a resident of Battaramulla.

The car driver had fled the place after the accident while the jeep driver was arrested.
