The Sri Lankan engineer who was abducted and released later by a militant group in Nigeria, returned to the country yesterday.
D.A. Karunadasa, speaking to media at the airport, Karunadasa said he resigned from his job in Nigeria and would make a final decision on working overseas after consulting his family members.
He also added that the abductors did not inflict any physical harm on him while in detention.
"I knew I would be released one day. After detaining me for about 10 days they suddenly told me that I would be released. They blindfolded me and brought me near the main road before releasing," Karunadasa was quoted as saying.
