Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Harsha de Silva, received today Members of German-South Asia Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Ministry who were on an official tour from April 6-9. The delegation comprised of parliamentarians representing the Social Democratic Party and the Christian Democratic Union.
During the meeting, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs provided a comprehensive overview of the progress achieved by the Government in its efforts towards restoring democracy, fostering reconciliation and bringing about economic development. The Parliamentarians commended the Government of Sri Lanka for the positive transformation that is taking place in the country.
