Another suspect has been arrested yesterday (Sept 23) in connection with the shooting of three persons in Hanwella this month.
A motorcycle with a fake number plate believed to have been used in the shooting, two jackets worn by the gunmen, and two helmets had been recovered upon questioning of the suspect.
The suspect has been identified as a 26-year old resident of Angoda by the name of Chathura Maduranga. He is due to be handed over to the Hanwella police for further investigations.
Two persons had been arrested previously in connection with the incident which resulted in the death of one and injured two others.
