Anura Senanayake remanded till June 9

Former Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Anura Senanayake, who was in remand custody in connection with the murder of former rugby player Wasim Thajudeen, was remanded again till June 9 after being produced in court today.

Senanayake was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on May 23 when he arrived to make a statement to the CID regarding the case.
