Chief Prelate of the Asgiriya Chapter, Most Ven.Warakagoda Dhammadassi Sri Pannarathana Gnanarathanabhidhana Thera said it was imperative that Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims in the North should live in harmony with each other as was the case before the beginning of the war. He made the remarks while addressing a ceremony to unveil the 'Kotha' (Pinnacle) of the Dagoba built at the Vavuniya Police building complex on Monday (6).
The ceremony was attended by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara and other senior police officers.
Speaking further at the ceremony, the Asgiriya Maha Nayaka Thera said bloodletting was pointless and everyone should strive to live in harmoney as humans. He said it was time to heal old wounds and for brotherhoods to be rebuilt.
