A Bangladeshi national who attempted to commit suicide has died upon admission to the Kegalle hospital yesterday (Oct 23).
The victim had been rushed to the hospital after he was found in a critical condition at a lodge in which he had been staying in the Galigamuwa area.
Investigations have shown that the victim, a 22-year old, had committed suicide owing to a love affair, police said.
A post-mortem examination is to be carried out on his remains today. Further investigations are underway.
