The Power and Energy Ministry's Secretary has been asked to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing state sector corruption today (Sept 18).
Dr R M S Batagoda, is expected to give evidence over alleged fraudulent transactions which had taken place while importing diesel for power plants and while also purchasing electricity from private power producers.
The PCoI is probing alleged acts of fraud and corruption in state institutions under the current government.
