BBS chief surrenders to police

Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Galagodaaththe Gnanasara thera surrendered to the Homagama police a shortwhile ago.

Earlier an arrest warrant was issued against General Secretary of the BBS on charges of Contempt of Court and distruption the court proceedings by the Homagama Magistrate yesterday. The Homagama magistrate Ranga Dissanayake ordered the Police to arrest Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera with immediate effect and produce before courts.

When the case regarding the disapperance of the Prageeth Eknaligoda was taken up today at the court, the BBS chief alleged to have used improper language at the court officials and the wife of the disappeared journalist, Mrs Eknaligoda.
