Beliatta Pradeshiya Sabha Opposition Leader Kapila Priyadarshana who was shot on March 20 has succumbed to his injuries this morning.
He was receiving treatment at the Karapitya Teaching Hospital.
Mr. Priyadarshana was shot at his residence in Beliatta between 6:15am -7:30 am on March 20, police said.
Investigations are currently underway to arrest the suspects involved in the shooting.
