The price of a loaf of bread will be reduced by Rs 2 from tonight (Sept 12), the All Island Bakery Owners Association said.
President of the Association N.K. Jayawardena told Times Online that this decision had been made since they had been informed that wheat flour prices would be reduced by Rs 5.50.
Bread prices had been increased by Rs 2 last week after the Prima Company had increased the prices of wheat flour by Rs 5.50.
