Forty-nine including 24 school children were injured when a private bus carrying passengers to Dayagama, Hatton via Fordyce Estate toppled down a 20-foot precipice today (2) morning.
Police and the villagers had rushed to the accident site and the recued passengers were rushed to the Glengan Hospital, Dickoya and Peradeniya Hospital.
Initial police investigations have revealed that the cause of the accident was negligence of the bus driver.
