The Cabinet approved a proposal to rename the Divineguma Department to the Samurdhi Department,Cabinet Spokesman Rajitha Senaratne said today. The Divineguma Department was a brain child of former Economic Affairs Minister Basil Rajapaksa.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
