The cabinet has decided to suspend the Colombo Port City project temporarily, Deputy Foreign Minister Ajith P Perera said. " The decision was taken when a cabinet paper was presented based on the recommendations of the sub committee appointed to report on the project and its environmental impact." he said. Earlier the Highways and Investment Promotion Minister Kabir Hashim reportedly said that a final decision will be taken when the report of the committee headed by Prime Minister on Colombo Port City Project released in few weeks.
