Former President Chandrika Kumaratunga has been appointed as the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Chief Organiser of the Attanagalle electorate, a spokesperson for the former president said.
The final rites of veteran broadcaster, writer, and lyricist Nirmala de Alwis will be held today at Peradeniya.
