The chief suspect behind the recent shooting incident in Araliya Uyana was arrested at the Bokundara Dedicated Economic Center in Piliyandala yesterday (Mar 11).
The suspect who was questioned revealed the hidden location of a Browning 09 mm pistol and a magazine with six rounds of ammunition that is believed to have been used in the shooting.
It has also been revealed that criminal 'Kosgoda Tharaka' (real name T.D Perera Wijesekara) who is currently imprisoned, had manipulated the shooting that resulted in the death of a 35-year old man.
Police officers attached to the Mirihana Special Investigations Unit have identified the suspect as 35-year old V.G.G.Chinthaka, a resident of Kiriwaththuduwa.
