President Maithripala Sirisena issuing his special Christmas message has said that Christmas is a time to fulfill one's aspirations.
Mr. Sirisena noted that the expectations of Christmas is a promise of a new life or a new birth.
He further pointed out that it is during this season during which the message of Jesus on peace and reconciliation reverberates throughout the world.
"Jesus preached to the world full of evil persons attempting to fool others by cunning and shrewd methods that one will not be able to enter the heaven unless they become innocent like children" President Sirisena said in his special message.
The President signed off by hoping that the preachings of Jesus on great humanity, reconciliation and generosity be spread across the world.
