The Presidential Secretariat has relaxed its circular restricting foreign tours for state employees, an official at the President’s Office said.
The Presidential Secretariat recently issued a circular instructing that all state foreign tours for state employees have been banned until further notice.
According to the revised regulations, the circular will not be relevant for state officials undertaking personal foreign visits, and also travelling overseas for degree programmes.
Individuals representing the country on compulsory foreign tours will also be granted permission to travel overseas.
However, the leave should be granted upon the satisfaction of the head of the institution, the revised circular read.
In addition, the relevant documents pertaining to the foreign visit must be produced to the Presidential Secretariat.
