In abid to control the rising prices of rice the Cabinet has decided to impose a control price for rice.
Similarly to reduce the price of wheat flour a decision was taken to reduce the import duty imposed on wheat flour imports.
Further the Cabinet has also decided to take steps to end the monopoly on wheat flour imports.
Minister Ramesh Pathirana made this statement while participating at a media briefing to announce the cabinet decisions.
