A court order has been issued directing underworld criminal 'Kanjipaani Imran' be produced before the Government Analyst's Department for a voice test on September 19.
The order was issued by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's court to officials attached to the Boosa Prison.
M.N. Mohamed Imran alias 'Kanjipaani Imran' has been remanded under the Prevention of Terrorism Act for threatening a police officer during a telephone call earlier this year.
He is alleged to have threatened a police officer-in-charge demanding the release of a suspect who had been nabbed with more than 20 grams of heroin during a raid in Keselwatte.
During a previous hearing, the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) branch of the police, had submitted a recording of the telephone conversation during which the accused had levelled death threats.
