Former minister Basil Rajapaksa was granted permission to travel overseas for medical treatment between December 5 and March 6 by the Colombo High Court today (Nov 28).
The permission was granted after considering a request made by lawyers representing Rajapaksa, an accused in a misappropriation case.
Rajapaksa former Divi Neguma director general have been accused of misappropriating Rs 29 million worth funds of the Divi Neguma Department by printing almanacs during the 2015 presidential election campaign.
