With ten more new COVID-19 patients have been identified so far today (17), the total number of COVID-19 infected cases increased to 970, Director General of Health Services Dr Anil Jasinghe stated.
538 patients have completely recovered and been discharged from hospital. The number of persons still undergoing hospital treatment now stands at 423. Some 203 patients are currently under investigations in hospitals across the country. A total of 1081 PCR tests were conducted yesterday.
