A total of 24 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases have been identified today (6), raising the number of confirmed cases in the country to 795, according to the Health Promotion Bureau of the Health Ministry.
At least 571 active cases are reported across the country while another 153 persons are currently under investigation in hospitals across the country. 215 persons were discharged after recovering completely. Nine deaths recorded due to COVID-19.
Among the 795 COVID-19 cases, 345 persons are Naval personnel who tested positive after the virus outbreak at the Welisara Navy camp.
