The curfew currently in effect in the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam has been extended till 5.00am on Monday, April 27, the President's Office stated.
In a statement, it added that the curfew in all other districts will only be in effect from 8.00pm to 5.00am from today (20) till Friday, April 24.
Curfew in these districts will be reimposed at 8.00pm on Friday (24) and will be in effect till Monday, April 27. As such, curfew in these districts will be in effect throughout next Saturday (25) and Sunday (26).
Members of the public are strictly prohibited from entering and leaving Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam districts.
Prior instruction issued regarding the maintaining of essential services and engaging in agricultural activities during curfew periods will continue to apply, the President's Office added.
