The Colombo High Court today (Dec10) imposed the death sentence on drug dealer Herath Mudiyanselage Thushara, alias ‘Kalu Thushara’ on the charges of possessing 59 grammes of heroin and trafficking in drugs.
Colombo High Court judge Gihan Kulatunge returned a verdict sentencing ‘Kalu Tushara’ to death while deciding that the charges against the accused had been proven beyond any doubts.
Officers from the Prevention of Organised Crimes arrested the accused in the Sedawatte area on May 27, 2017 while he was transporting 59 grammes of heroin on a motorcycle.
