Following the arrest of Lankan underworld drug kingpin, Makandure Madush and 25 others in a raid at a hotel in Dubai yesterday, Khaleej Times reports that amongst the suspects was also a diplomatic passport holder.
According to Khaleej Times sources a large quantity of drugs was recovered from the suspects in the joint operation by the Dubai Police and Sri Lankan law enforcement authorities.
The authorities are now in talks with Dubai to extradite Madush, who is among Sri Lanka's most wanted criminals.
