Six persons, including an infant had a lucky escape after an earth mound collapsed on a house at Pinhena Colony in Beruwala during heavy rains on Sunday night (13).
Inmates of the house stated that they managed to get away from the house as the earth mound collapsed.
The earth was later removed from the home with the assistance of Western Provincial Councilor Prasanna Sanjeewa who lent his backhoe for the efforts.
