The Election Commission (EC) will meet secretaries of recognized political parties at 11.00am on May 2 to discuss the situation in relation to the upcoming parliamentary election.
The EC's Media Coordinator Channa De Silva said that the discussion will be held to brief the parties on the election in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
Prior to the meeting on May 2, the EC's newly established special committee on COVID-19 will meet to review the situation in the country regarding the COVID-19 situation.
